As I mentioned in a previous post, I have a thing for cars. And yes, I’m probably dating myself but the Cannonball Run set the hook, I was 8 years old. Although I enjoyed the brilliant acting it was the Lamborghini Countach that I enjoyed most. The look, the speed and of course the sound.
So, when given the opportunity to create a promo for Club Sportiva I jumped. A company that rents, tours and provides fractional ownership of exotics cars.
I wanted the promo to be less about what Club Sportiva actually does but rather capture the experience and thrill of driving an exotic.
What I wanted to capture in particular was the beauty of the cars along with the sensation of speed and of course the sound.
Thanks Club Sportiva!
Big thanks to everyone who helped.
Chris MacAskill and Dustin Bess over at SmugMug, Ruch and Steven from Club Sportiva and my buddy Clay Wilson.
Thanks guys!
Production stuff:
Shot on the 5DMkII, Variety of Canon L series lenses, Car mount rig, Kanova Slider and the ATM Gyro mounted in the back of my SUV monitored with the Small HD DP6. Cars: Lamborghini Gallardo Spider, Ferrari F430
Gyro note:
Loved using the Gryo, easy to set up and a relatively quick learning curve.
Rented from Blue Sky Aerials, thanks Thomas

Fantastic, love this film. The use of all kind of efects, like slow motion combined with time-lapse, then a great location, great color rendering, beautiful clowds;-) and more, just make it work. Congrats!
